In the 4th match of the ongoing IPL T20, Rising Pune Supergiant’s all-rounder Daniel Christian pulled out an innovative shot out of his batting book.
This happened in the last over of RPS innings, when KXIP fast bowler Sandeep Sharma bowled a full delivery outside the leg-stump but Christian was effective in smashing the ball for a boundary behind the stumps.
Daniel Christian was on the strike, ready to face the ultimate over, which was being bowled by Kings XI Punjab’s Sandeep Sharma. The right-arm medium pacer was bowling around the wicket to the right-hand batsman. The ploy was implied so that the batsman is denied any room outside the off-stump.
Both the bowler and the captain of KXIP team were shocked by the batsman’s cool shot. During his cameo innings of 17 runs off just balls, Christian hit two fours and a six.
