Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone reveals her favourite cricketer

Deepika Padukone is a renowned face in the Bollywood industry and is currently one of the highest-paid actresses in the world.

Daughter of the badminton player Prakash Padukone, Deepika really has an affinity for cricket and is an ardent supporter of Team India.

Nobody can forget that time period when both Mahendra Sigh Dhoni and Yuvraj Singh were linked with the actress at different times.

Dhoni had a huge crush on Deepika during his early days and also, there are reports that the Bollywood beauty did not like Yuvraj’s possessive nature and therefore, she soon ended her relationship with him.

But, if we keep these relationships aside, Deepika has been seen many times in the stadiums cheering for her team. Even after all these things, neither lightning fast Dhoni nor sixer king Yuvraj is her favourite cricketer.

“Happy with Bollywood’s innovative idea of promoting films at cricket venues. I think cricket and cinema are like religions in our country. So, it’s nice to get the two together and hope this combination works.” said Deepika.

Just before she named her current favourite cricketer she said earlier it was the legendary right-handed batsman Sachin Tendulkar.

“Sachin is iconic, but I think among the younger lot, Virat Kohli is extremely talented. I just hope he doesn’t lose focus, and if he continues playing the way he does, he has a great future,” she had said while talking about the current Indian skipper Virat Kohli.
