Here is why every individual should respect Gautam Gambhir

Indian cricket Gautam Gambhir is not just a CHAMPION on the field but he is a CHAMPION off the field as well.

Gambhir has been an architect of Team India’s win in the ICC events- World T20 final 2007 and ODI World Cup final 2011.

But, still, he has always been the underrated player and was recently ignored by the selectors for the ICC Champions Trophy 2017.

Well, Gambhir is a fighter and he led his team Kolkata Knight Riders in the true spirit of the game during IPL 2017.

And now here’s the reason why every individual should respect Gambhir.

To inform you, Gambhir is the first cricketer ever who has pledged to donate all his organs.

He has also appealed to everyone else to donate their organs since many people die every year for want of organs.

This is what Gambhir said at the launch of an organ donation website- www.giftalife.org:

“I hereby pledge to donate my kidney, heart, liver, pancreas, small bowel, eyes, lungs and tissues after my death,” the opening batsman was quoted as saying.

“Thousands die every year for want of organs and I feel through initiatives like ‘Gift a Life’ we can do society good by bridging the gap. I appeal to everyone to make this decision to donate their organs,” added the southpaw.

Really, hat’s off to you Gauti.
