A 9-year old girl from Mumbai Anadi Tagde has been picked in Indore division under-19 cricket squad.
Anadi is a right-arm medium pace bowler and has impressed one and all with her hard work and skills.
And now, she has got an opportunity to show her talent with the ball at inter-division under-19 girls tournament in Gwalior.
“The boys didn’t allow me to play with them. So I used to play with my elder brother. Then my father Anurag Tagde sent me to a local cricket club for training,” she added.
“I was scared of the leather ball initially, but my father encouraged me and then the fear melted away,” Anadi said.
The 2008-born little girl is an admirer of Team India’s all-rounder Hardik Pandya and one day, wants to play for the Indian women’s cricket team. Like many other young cricketers, she also has a desire to meet the cricket legend, Sachin Tendulkar.
