Asian Premier League (APL) T20 2017: Participating teams and players

The first edition of the Asian Premier League (APL) T20 2017 will be played at TU Cricket Ground, Kathmandu, Nepal from 19th June to 4th July 2017.

In association with the National Sports Council of Nepal, an Indian sports company ‘Ultimate Sports Management (USM)’ has been organising the event which is studded with former and current international cricketers.

Sony Six channel will telecast total 19 matches of the event, including the final, semifinals and third place decider.

A total of 150 players has been drafted out of which 108 players have been selected by the team owners. The six teams in total will play against each other in the round robin league before the top four making it to the semi-finals.

APL T20 2017

The tournament offers a lucrative prize money of INR 25 lakhs to the winners, while the runner-up will bag a cash prize of INR 10 lakhs. An amount of 5 lakhs will be rewarded to the which places third. Apart from cash prizes, the Player of the Series will be awarded a car. There is also special prize ‘Entertainer of the Day’ which will be picked from the crowd.
