Fans troll anchor Mayanti Langer for her outfit; is it fair to do so?

Mayanti Langer, famous journalist and anchor of Star Sports India, has had enough of people taking digs at her outfit during an ODI match of the ongoing ICC Champions Trophy played between India and Pakistan.

On Sunday, Mayanti was wearing a grey skirt. Half of the skirt was draped, which left the fans baffled. While the rain had the game in a stand still, it was the engaging anchor who forced the fans to sit in front of the Television glued despite there was no cricketing action. Fans remained on their seats, with their fingers moving over the smartphones. Forgetting all the pressure, nervousness, tension and rivalry, they indulged themselves into expressing their opinion about Mayanti’s skirt.

Here are some of the Twitter trolls regarding Mayanti Langer’s skirt:

Is it fair to troll Mayanti Langer for her outfit?

These trolls were distasteful and in bad humour. People do not have any right to comment on someone’s dress. It was her own wish to wear this outfit and therefore people don’t have any right to comment on the same.

Also, famous designer Rahul Mishra commented on Mayanti’s dress and said that it’s a personal choice. “If there’s a dress code, it should be followed. But these days, we [on social media] end up commenting on everything, and we try to dictate — something that happened to Priyanka Chopra too. As far as what one wears on-screen is not offensive, it should be a personal choice,” he was quoted as saying.
