Team India’s all-rounder Hardik Pandya notched up the fastest fifty in ICC event final during his 76 runs innings off just 43 balls against Pakistan in ICC Champions Trophy 2017 final at the Oval.
Pandya completed his fifty in just 32 balls, breaking the record of former Australian opener Adam Gilchrist, who scored a fifty in 33 balls in the 1999 World Cup final against Pakistan.
The fifty of 23-year-old batsman went in vain, as he was, unfortunately, ran out due to mix up with Ravindra Jadeja.
However, former IPL anchor Shibani Dandekar, who was recently seen in Bollywood movie ‘Noor’, seemed fully impressed with Hardik Pandya and took to Twitter to laud his innings.
“@hardikpandya7 you are a star! ⭐️ that was a damn shame! you were the game changer! proud of you!”, Shibani wrote in her first tweet.
She also congratulated Pakistan team for the superb win and called Hardik her hero.
“Well done India& Pakistan!congrats to Pakistan for a super win!played hard! India we are proud of you always @hardikpandya7 you are my hero!”, the glamorous diva wrote in her another tweet.
