ICC Champions Trophy 2017: During an ODI game played between South Africa and Sri Lanka at The Oval, the South African star player AB de Villiers took a stunning catch to dismiss the Sri Lankan batsman Kusal Mendis.
This all happened in the 12th over of second innings when Chris Morris was brought on to bowl. On the 5th delivery of his over, Morris bowled a good length ball which was slow off the wicket and Mendis lobbed the ball over the off side. The ball once looked to be clearing de Villiers at mid-on but the Proteas skipper was in no mood to stand and watch the ball go over his head.
He jumped to perfection and plucked a catch out of the thin air to send Mendis back.
