Team India’s new Mr. Dependable Cheteshwar Pujara scored his sixth 150-plus score during the first innings of the Galle Test against Sri Lanka.
He took the crease when India was 27 for 1 after the dismissal of opener Abhinav Mukund. Despite the ball seaming both ways and under dark clouds, Pujara stuck to his basics and completed his 12th Test century.
The Saurashtra batsman looked good for a big score, and a double-hundred was on the cards. However, Nuwan Pradeep hurled in the right channel and induced a thin edge, dismissing Pujara for 153.
