A very unusual incident occurred during an ODI match played between South Africa and England in the ICC Women’s World Cup 2017, when English opener Tammy Beaumont was kicked by South African bowler Marizanne Kapp on the field.
Embarrassing for them that it was caught on camera. The score stood still at 343/4 when England’s Tammy lost her wicket to Kapp. The batswoman was making her way away from the pitch after scoring the century while she was being congratulated by members of the South African team. It was then when wicket-taker Kapp walked towards the centurion and jokingly tripped her leg before performing a handshake.
It looked a bit weird but both the players shared a laugh between themselves during the incident indicating that it was all done sportingly.
