India’s young sensation Kuldeep Yadav set the internet on fire after he showed his brilliance on the field to dismiss Sri Lankan batsman Kusal Mendis with his direct throw onto the stumps during day 2 of the third Test match against Sri Lanka at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium.
This all happened during the ninth over of Sri Lanka’s first innings when Dinesh Chandimal flicked a Mohammed Shami‘s delivery to the right of mid-on.
Ravichandran Ashwin put on a full length to stop the ball and threw back quickly towards the stumps but Shami failed to collect that. Kuldeep who was stationed at short cover showed a good presence of mind and quickly rattled the stumps with a sharp throw. Kusal was well short of his ground and was given out.
