Kane Williamson cherished his first ever trip to watch a baseball game in the US after the New Zealand captain was given the chance to deliver the celebratory first pitch before the Miami Marlins’ MLB match against the Washington Nationals on Friday.
Williamson, who is currently playing in the Carribean Premier League (CPL) with the Barbados Tridents, was put in a custom-made Marlins team jersey with his name and number on the back before he headed out for a couple of practice pitches and the big moment.
The Black Caps batsman then headed out to the middle of the diamond where he delivered a strike to the Marlins’ mascot.
