WATCH: Virat Kohli hoist tricolour in Kandy on India’s Independence Day

India celebrates its 70th anniversary of Independence today and on this auspicious occasion, Indian cricket team’s skipper Virat Kohli had the honour of hoisting the tricolour flag.

The support staff and family members of few players also joined the team in Kandy for this special celebration and everyone stood in a straight line to sing the National Anthem afterward.

The Board of Control for Cricket in Indian (BCCI) took to Twitter and shared the video of this particular occasion, and their post read: “#TeamIndia gathered at Kandy to hoist the tri-colour on the occasion of Independence Day #IndependenceDayIndia”
