Star India won the global broadcasting and digital media rights of the Indian Premier League (IPL) thanks to their bid of Rs 16347.5 crore at the BCCI-organised auction in Mumbai on Monday.
Star outbid Sony, the previous TV rights holders and 12 other bidders to grab the TV and digital rights for the next five years from 2018 to 2022.
However, after Star India bagged the IPL media rights, TV anchor and host Archana Vijaya, who is renowned for her work in the Extraaa Innings show during the IPL matches took to her Twitter handle to express her happiness over the same.
“WOW ! Just came on to Twitter and learnt of @StarSportsIndia bagging the #IPLrights . Congratulations ! Upwards and onwards!” tweeted Archana.

As soon as Archana posted her tweet, few fans ended up trolling the glamorous anchor for her comments. They taunted that she is not having any other work at the moment.
Here is how Archana got mocked for her tweet:
And now you are jobless

Archana’s befitting reply:
Well, Archana was very sporting in her response to the replies that she got on Twitter. She tweeted back saying that the way her future is being predicted and analysis is being done on her career, is the more amusing story.
“But, what’s more amusing is the prediction/analysis of my future on my timeline! Haha!” she tweeted.
