Australian journalist makes fun of Virat Kohli & Co.

The World XI tour of Pakistan will begin from today evening at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.

Pakistani fans are eagerly waiting for the first ball to be delivered in their nation as it will mark a return of quality cricket there after a gap of 8 years.

A lot of discussions has been made on the non-participation of the Indian cricketers in the World XI for this historic tournament. An Australian journalist, Dennis Freedman, on Twitter made fun of Virat Kohli & Co.

Dennis is known to be a humorous cricket reporter for a number of years and enjoys a fan following of over 65,000. His posts are generally sarcastic so as to make cricket less stuffy.

But on Tuesday, he touched on a sensitive topic, which made Indian fans angry. He posted a picture of Virat Kohli and his team from last year, when the Indian team participated in the Swatch Bharat campaign and cleaned the Eden Gardens. Dennis captioned the picture as: “Sweepers clean the stadium in readiness for the World XI match.”

Indian fans were quick to respond to the post made by the Australian and suggested him not to insult the game.
