In Chennai, Rohit tried to openly flirt with Australian bowlers but they were able to shut him down. However, in Indore Rohit showed Australia once again that how much he passionately enjoys their one-sided romance by hitting 71 runs just in 62 balls.
During his half-century, Rohit also surpassed Brendon McCullum to hit most sixes in international cricket against the Aussies.
With four huge sixes at the Holker stadium, including a maximum hit of 103 metres, Rohit became the only player in the world to hit 64 sixes against Australia across all formats pipping McCullum’s 61. Sachin Tendulkar is third on the list with 60 sixes.
The right-handed batsman has smacked Australia for 5 sixes in Tests, 12 in T20Is and 47 in ODIs.
