WATCH: Virat Kohli trolls Steve Smith in dressing room over failed DRS call

Virat Kohli does not share a very good rapport with Steve Smith; this became very much clear after this year’s Test series when both the skippers were involved in a war of words. Kohli caught Smith red-handed when he was seeking help from the dressing room on a DRS call during the Bengaluru Test. Later was termed as a ‘Brain Fade’ moment for Smith.

Now once again, it seems that the Indian captain is yet to get over that incident as he was seen making fun of Smith’s failed DRS call in the first ODI played at Chepauk.

The incident took place in the 45th over of the Indian innings when Marcus Stoinis bowled a length delivery to Bhuvneshwar Kumar. The ball was bowled on the off-stump region. Bhuvneshwar tried to dab it down to third man and as the ball was too close to cut it took an inside edge off the bat, and then got deflected onto the pads.

The Australian looked convinced that the ball had hit the pad first. The on-field umpire gave it as not out but Steve Smith was keen on going upstairs for a review. The replays clearly suggested that it was bat first and hence the on-field decision stayed.

The review was wasted by the Australian skipper and it was just then that the cameras went in zooming in the Indian dressing room where a much relaxed Virat Kohli was seen shaking his body to mock the Aussies for their failed DRS call.
