India all-rounder Hardik Pandya was knocked down on the ground after receiving a bad-looking blow on the side of his face in the second ODI against Australia at the Eden Gardens, Kolkata.
The incident occurred when Nathan Coulter-Nile was bowling to Bhuvneshwar Kumar in the 47th over.
With just a few balls left for the Indian innings, Bhuvneshwar gave his all when Coulter-Nile bowled a fuller delivery. However, instead of finding the rope as Bhuvi would have wanted, the ball crashed into Pandya’s helmet at the non-striker’s end. It looked quite scary as Bhuvneshwar and the Australian players rushed to check Pandya before calling the physio.
Pandya was soon attended by Team India physio and luckily continued to play in the remaining game.
