Manish Pandey pulled off a sensational catch on the edge of the boundary line to send back Australian batsman Peter Handscomb packing in the 3rd ODI played at the Holkar stadium in Indore.
Pandey’s ability is not a secret to anyone, the Uttarakhand lad is one of the best fielders in the current Indian team.
Like always, he was once again deployed at the boundary line to keep Aussies from crossing it often, and Pandey justified his captain’s trust by taking a brilliant catch in the 48th over of the first innings.
Jasprit Bumrah kept the ball outside the off stump and Handscomb stepped out to loft it into the crowds but he couldn’t do enough to beat Manish who had already judged the ball and kept his eyes glued on it. He jumped in the air to perfection, deflected the ball inside the rope when he was in the air and then calmly grabbed it before the ball could have touched the ground.
