Indian wicket-keeper MS Dhoni has added another feather into his illustrious cap as he became the first wicket-keeper in the world to affect 100 stumpings in ODI’s during the fifth ODI against Sri Lanka in Colombo on Sunday.
On the last ball of the 45th over of the Sir Lanka innings, Dhoni affected the stumping of Akila Dananjaya off the bowling of Yuzvendra Chahal
With this dismissal, Dhoni set a new world record. Earlier, he was tied at 99 stumpings in the 50-overs format with former Sri Lankan keeper Kumara Sangakkara. However, Sangakkara took 404 ODI’s to reach this figure, while Dhoni now has 100 stumpings in just 301 ODI’s.
