The second ODI which was played at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata, was all about the Indian spinners, as the duo of Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav weaved their magic once again on the Australian batsmen.
Other than Steve Smith, no Aussie batsman was able to get to grips with the bowlers, as Chahal and Yadav spun the match into India’s favour. Kuldeep went on to pick up a hat-trick and joining the elite list of Indian players namely Chetan Sharma and Kapil Dev.
The Chinaman bowler’s first wicket was Matthew Wade, the Aussie wicket-keeper who chopped the ball back on to his stumps. After Wade’s dismissal, Virat Kohli was quick to slip in a word or two as the Indian skipper gave the batsman a verbal send-off.
