Indian cricket team fans slammed BCCI on Twitter following their birthday wishes to former India skipper and coach Anil Kumble on Tuesday.
Kumble, who is India’s leading wicket-taker in Test, also coached Virat Kohli-led side, replacing the then Team Director Ravi Shastri. While Kumble enjoyed solid success as India coach, his term came to an end after a year following differences with skipper Kohli.
Shastri made a comeback to Indian team management as head coach of the side.
Kumble, who turned 47 today, received special wishes from the likes of Virender Sehwag, Sachin Tendulkar and VVS Laxman.

While BCCI too wished Kumble, they received a backlash for their tweet, which they deleted later.
Should have used "legend" word ☺

Such is an influence of Virat Kohli that even BCCI forgot Anil Kumble was once the Indian captain and coach, as well.

Later, BCCI posted another tweet to wish Kumble. This time they used the word “legend” and captain in the tweet, while still skipped using the word “former coach”.
