Cricketers wish Gautam Gambhir on his birthday

Left-handed batsman Gautam Gambhir is celebrating his 36th birthday today.

Gambhir was instrumental in India’s successful campaign in the 2011 World Cup and the inaugural World T20 in 2007.


While he scored a blazing 75 against Pakistan in the World T20 final at Johannesburg, his 97 against Sri Lanka in 2011 helped India lift the World Cup at the Wankhede stadium in Mumbai.

He also captained India for six matches during the 2010-11 season where the team did not suffer a single loss.

He is the captain of the Kolkata Knight Riders franchise and has led them to IPL success on two occasions.


He is currently playing for Delhi in the Ranji Trophy and is fighting to make a comeback to the Indian side once again.
