Here’s why Quinton de Kock wore Hashim Amla’s jersey in the 1st T20I against Bangladesh

South African openers Quinton de Kock and Hashim Amla are known to be very good friends. They form a formidable pair for the Proteas in the limited overs formats.

And on Thursday, their bonhomie was seen in an unusual incident when De Kock sported the jersey of Amla during the first T20I of the series against Bangladesh.

Well, de Kock was forced to sport Amla’s jersey when the duo walked in to bat first after skipper JP Duminy won the toss for the hosts.

The commentators revealed that the wicketkeeper-batsman had lost his jersey ahead of the start of the match and that was the reason why he had to wear Amla’s jersey as he walked in to bat.

Fans on Twitter certainly went in for a toss seeing two Amla jerseys on the field. They could not stop talking and joking about it.

Here are some of the Twitter reactions:

However, Quinton de Kock batted well and moved on to score his 2nd T20I fifty before being adjudged lbw on the bowling off Rubel Hossain.
