Ravindra Jadeja takes a dig at BCCI on missing ODI selection

In a bid to get their team combination right for the 2019 World Cup, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has decided to make use of the rotation policy to find right candidates for their campaign. A lot of prominent names were seen missing from India’s squad for the limited-overs series against Sri Lanka, Australia and now New Zealand.

The emergence of Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav, and their effective performances has led to selectors avoiding both Ravindra Jadeja and Ravichandran Ashwin for the limited overs format.

Jadeja and Ashwin were picked for the 3 Test series against Sri Lanka, but have missed the series against the Aussies and Blackcaps.

On Tuesday, Jadeja took offense to the BCCI selectors’ continuous avoidance in picking him for ODIs and posted a picture of him wearing the 2016 ICC ODI team of the year cap.

Jaddu was chosen by ICC for his outstanding performances in ODIs in 2016.

“Feeling so proud to be part of the icc ODI team 2016. #icc #bcci #cap #rajputboy”, the all-rounder captioned the picture.
