Indian fast bowler Bhuvneshwar Kumar joined a long line of Indian cricketers to get hitched this season as the Meerut-lad got engaged to his ‘better half’ Nupur Nagar in a private ceremony in Greater Noida on Wednesday afternoon in the presence of only family and close friends.
The cricketer on Thursday took to Instagram and posted a photo of the two lovebirds with the caption, “Rewinding and going back to the happy memories, inspires me to fast forward and dream about the amazing future that lies ahead..nupur nagar”
Bhuvneshwar set to get hitched
According to Bhuvneshwar’s family, the wedding will take place in Meerut in all likeliness.
“As soon as the dates are finalized, we will book a venue here in Meerut. But if logistics don’t allow that, we will look for some place in Delhi too,” said Kiran Pal Singh (Bhuvi’s father) to TOI.
He also added that it is likely that the wedding will have several Indian cricketers in the guest list. “Dekhiye, shaadi koi roz-roz toh hoti nahi. This is a special occasion and we want everyone to be there. So we will extend our invitation to all of Bhuvneshwar’s teammates from the Indian team. I hope all of them can make it too.”
Also, Suresh Raina, who has played alongside Bhuvi, is excited on hearing the good news. The left-handed batsman, who never misses out on celebrating a dismissal with the bowler, is set to partner Bhuvi off the field too.
Raina recently tweeted “Congratulations Bhuvi looking forward to dancing at your wedding.”
