Very often we see players sweating it out at the nets wearing white thigh pads. These kits have one thing in common, the signature on them. From the likes of Sachin Tendulkar to Australia’s Steve Smith, the best of the players were seen putting on these protective gears.
While the Facebook page of the Indian cricket team has posted a picture of Kohli practicing in the nets wearing one of the signed kits.
The secret behind the autograph on Kohli’s thigh pads
The autograph belongs to Steve Remfry. He along with his staff have been producing custom made arm guards, thigh pads, chest guards, inside thigh pads and shin guards for world-class cricketers since 1987. Remfry has provided gears to the likes of Allan Border, Sunil Gavaskar and Shane Warne amongst many.
Reportedly, Virat Kohli ordered more than two pairs of the guard and he liked it.
