MS Dhoni is usually known to inflict magical stumpings but the Indian wicket-keeper batsman was at the receiving end after being deceived by a brilliant delivery from his IPL teammate Adam Zampa during the second T20I played between India and Australia in Guwahati.
Zampa, who is one of the calmest personalities in the Australian team, was pumped up and celebrating wildly after dismissing Dhoni.
It all happened in the 10th over of India’s innings. On the fifth delivery bowled by Zampa, Dhoni charged out to defend the ball to take a single.
But the spin beat the batsman, as the ball turned slight of an inch past his bat and the Aussie wicketkeeper Tim Paine just had ample time to click off the bails. Also, this was the first time that Dhoni departed on a stumping in T20Is.
