Australian journalist Dennis Freedman who is known for his funny tweets on cricket has sparked a fresh controversy after he trolled batting legend Sachin Tendulkar on the micro-blogging website.
Freedman recently on his official Twitter handle posted a picture of Tennis star Maria Sharapova with the founder and executive chairman of the Alibaba group Jack Ma and captioned it as “It was a pleasure to finally meet Sachin Tendulkar Maria Sharapova”.
Dennis shared Sharapova’s picture as she once said that she didn’t know who Sachin Tendulkar is.
Dennis post has once again started a mini-war on social media as he received several harsh reactions from Sachin Tendulkar’s fans.
Sachin Tendulkar is the legend. He is the God of Cricket and he is a great sportsman too. Kindly respect him and you don't have any right to make fun of him

Maria will need to take many birth to match even 1percent of respect which Sachin earned. Trolling a legend just to earn recognition. Shame on you

He's well known for his rants against India. People don't take him seriously here, Cricket Aus doesn't take him as Journalist for his biased nature. So, to keep his livelihood he does things like this. 😌😌

Dennis earlier faced the heat of fans after he compared current Team India captain Virat Kohli with a sweeper. He then posted a picture of Kohli holding a broom and captioned the image as: “Sweepers clean the stadium in readiness for the World XI match.”
