Cricketing world pays rich tribute to Ashish Nehra

Ashish Nehra ended his 18-year-old career on Wednesday, after playing the 1st T20I against New Zealand at Feroz Shah Kotla in Delhi.

Nehra made his Test debut in 1999 and played a big hand in Team India reaching the finals of 2003 World Cup and 2011 World Cup. He walked away with a winner’s medal in 2011 World Cup and that was the last ODI he played for a long time.

The 38-year-old pacer got a chance to come back in Team India through T20I matches. He grabbed the opportunity well and had a dream run, even got to have a farewell match at his home ground.

Nicknamed as ‘Nehraji’ by his teammates was paid rich tributes on Twitter by fans and cricket fraternity after Nehra’s farewell match.
