Ravichandran Ashwin’s wife Preethi trolls him on social media

Team India’s prime bowler in Test cricket, Ravichandran Ashwin on Monday became the fastest bowler to complete 300 wickets.

The off-spinner reached the milestone on the fourth day of the Nagpur Test. Ashwin overshadowed the legendary pace bowler Dennis Lillie‘s record who had scalped 300 wickets in 56 matches, as he reached the same feat in just 54 innings.
His spell was instrumental for the team as India handed Sri Lanka a massive defeat of an innings and 239 runs and now lead the Test series 1-0.

Ashwin was elated with the achievement as he tweeted “300th test wicket at the Jamtha (Nagpur), a memorable day. Thank you all imVkohli look forward to the next 18 months.”

With congratulation messages pouring in from around the world for this amazing record the cricketer’s wife Prithi Ashwin got engrossed in some other worldwide major breaking news.

We generally expect the better half to support throughout especially when there is good news or a big celebratory moment. However, Prithi seems to be aware that her husband completing 300 wickets is not the biggest news of the day.

By giving due acknowledgement to her husband’s record feat she trolled him. “Hey ashwinravi99, not trying to be a buzzkill here or take anything away from your 300 wickets but look!”, Prithi tweeted.

She was referring to the news of Britain’s Prince Harry who announced his marriage with girlfriend Meghan Markle early next year. Certainly, Prince Harry might be stealing Ashwin’s thunder his wife was the first one to realise that.
