Virender Sehwag, Ishant Sharma and others congratulate Miss World 2017 Manushi Chhillar

Manushi Chhillar on Saturday brought the Miss World crown back to India after 17 years, and the nation couldn’t help but send out some serious love.

Former India opening batsman Virender Sehwag congratulated Manushi, and praised her for making the country proud.

“Congratulations Manushi Chhillar #MissWorld2017 on becoming Miss World 2017 and making the whole country proud. Haryana girls rocking it on world stage. Haryana Power, India Power.” Sehwag wrote in his message.

Team India’s lanky fast bowler Ishant Sharma also congratulated the winner.

“Congratulations Manushi Chhillar for bringing back the #MissWorld2017 crown to India. A proud moment for all of us. #MissWorld” tweeted Ishant.

After reaching the top five in the Miss World contest, Manushi was asked during the Question and Answer round, which profession she thought deserved the highest salary and why.

Replying to the question, Ms. Chhillar said it was not a question about a person’s salary and that a mother was worthy of the highest respect.

“I think a mother is of highest respect. I don’t think its just about cash but love and respect she gives to someone. She is the biggest inspiration in my life. Mother should get the highest respect.”
