WATCH: Ashish Nehra shows off his football skills; Virat Kohli and crowd applauds

Left-hand pacer Ashish Nehra said a ‘Happy Goodbye’ as India defeated New Zealand in the first T20I at Feroz Shah Kotla by 53 runs on Wednesday.

Ashish Nehra farewell

Nehra bowled his 4 overs giving away 29 runs and couldn’t pick up a wicket, but he kept the morale of the Indian team high throughout the game.

During one such moment, a Kiwi batsman Tim Southee hit a ball towards the fine leg where the lanky fast bowler was fielding.

Instead of picking the ball up, Nehra stopped it using his boot. He caught the ball, turned around and threw it back to wicketkeeper MS Dhoni. As Nehra was busy dribbling with the ball, Virat Kohli could not control his excitement and cheered and clapped for him.

Also, the crowd present in the Feroz Shah Kotla seeing Kohli and Nehra started shouting ‘Nehra Nehra’ in unison for their hero.
