WATCH: Virat Kohli celebrates his 5th double hundred in Test cricket

The man in form, Virat Kohli completed his 5th double hundred in Test cricket against Sri Lanka in 2nd Test match of the series at Nagpur. On the 3rd day of the day, Kohli scored 213 runs in 267 balls. In his innings, he hit 17 fours and 2 sixes with a strike rate of 79.78.

Sri Lanka’s scored 205 runs in their first innings. In return, team India set a huge score of 610/6 before declaring their first innings. 3 Indian batsmen scored hundreds (Murali Vijay, Cheteshwar Pujara, and Rohit Sharma), while Kohli scored a double hundred.


This is Kohli’s 10th international century this year, which is a record by any captain. The earlier record was held by Australia’s Ricky Ponting who scored 9 centuries in a given year, twice.
