Team India’s middle-order batsman Kedar Jadhav has been ruled out of the 3-match ODI series against Sri Lanka due to a hamstring injury.

Jadhav was in a serious fitness battle to start the first ODI for India in Dharamsala and it has now been announced that he will not participate in the ODI series altogether.

Young Tamil Nadu all-rounder Washington Sundar has been called in as a replacement for Jadhav in the squad.

Sundar has been one of the most consistent performers in the domestic circuit in the recent times. He was a star performance for the Rising Pune Supergiant in the IPL this year. Also, he was prolific with both bat and the ball in the Duleep Trophy.
