There is no stopping of India captain Virat Kohli. Just a day after becoming the first ever captain to register a hat-trick of centuries in a three-match Test series, the Kohli scaled yet another milestone when he scored his sixth double century, the highest as a captain on Day 2 of the ongoing 3rd Test against Sri Lanka at the Feroz Shah Kotla stadium in Delhi.
‘King Kohli’ has now surpassed West Indies legend Brian Lara, who held the record previously with five double tons in Tests.
With sixth double centuries to his name, Kohli is also tied to Sachin Tendulkar and Virender Sehwag for the most 200-plus scores for India in Tests. While Sachin has six double centuries, Sehwag had recorded four double and two triple hundreds.
