ICC Test Rankings: Kagiso Rabada becomes highest-ranked bowler; Virat Kohli slip to number 3 among batsmen

The Proteas fast bowler Kagiso Rabada has moved up to number 1 position among bowlers list in the last released ICC test rankings.

Rabada leapfrogged England’s James Anderson to the summit of the Test bowling rankings, following match figures of 5 for 75 against India in the first Test at Newlands.

Anderson who entered the 5th and final Ashes test match against Australia in Sydney as the number 1 bowler, dropped behind the 22-year-old Rabada by a single point.

Among batsmen, Indian captain Virat Kohli, who could only manage to score just 33 runs in two innings in Capetown has consequently slipped one spot from second to third. He is now one point behind England skipper Joe Root. India’s mainstay batsman Cheteshwar Pujara also saw a dip in his spot as he moved to the fifth in the latest released rankings after scoring just 30 runs in two innings.
