Virender Sehwag hilariously trolls Kings XI Punjab owner Preity Zinta

The IPL auctions event has always been funny and tensed for the franchise, as they try to get their targetted players at the lowest price possible.

While the likes of Mumbai Indians and Kolkata Knight Riders have been the high-spenders in the auctions, it was the Kings XI Punjab co-owner Preity Zinta who went in hard at the 2018 IPL auctions.

The Bollywood diva went hard from the word go as she tried her hand at outbidding with the various franchises, after having retained the services of Team India’s all-rounder Axar Patel for 6.75 crores.

On Saturday morning, KXIP opened the bidding for the Indian opener Shikhar Dhawan, at 2 crores to get him at 5.2 crores, before Sunrisers Hyderabad used their RTM Card to retain their player. The next player that was up for the auction was Chennai Super Kings spinner Ravichandran Ashwin. CSK opened the bidding for their player, only to be outbid by Preity at 7.6 crore rupees.

She further followed it up with bids for Ajinkya Rahane, Ben Stokes, Kieron Pollard, Mitchell Starc before the other franchises got the respective players. However, she followed it up with aggressive bidding for Dwayne Bravo and was sold to KXIP for 6.4 crores before CSK used the RTM card to retain the all-rounder.

Former Indian opener Virender Sehwag, who is also the mentor for KXIP took to Twitter to troll the team co-owner.

“Ladkiyon ko shopping ka shock hota hai. Preity full on shopping ke mood mein hain. Har cheez khareedni hai”.

The funny and entertaining Sehwag struck again as Preity continued to bid for every player at their disposal.

Preity also acquired Yuvraj Singh, KL Rahul, Karun Nair, and used the RTM card to retain the services of South Africa’s left-handed batsman David Miller in her team.
