The defending champions Mumbai Indians were selective in picking up the players at IPL 2018 auction but they did shed out big money for the players they desperately wanted to buy or retain.
MI is one of the few franchises who were successful in keeping their core intact and retained Rohit Sharma, Hardik Pandya, and Jasprit Bumrah earlier in the first week of January.
During the mega-auction, they used their two RTMs to bring back Kieron Pollard and Krunal Pandya.
In total, MI franchise bought 22 players at the auction and now have a squad of 25 players to choose in the IPL 2018.
