On Day 4 of the first Test between South Africa and India in Capetown, the Proteas skipper Faf Du Plessis was yet to open his account when he faced an unplayable delivery from India’s pacer Jasprit Bumrah and ended up edging it behind to the wicketkeeper.
The ball took off from a good length and if there was anything as awkward as Bumrah’s action, then there were two – first the bounce and then Faf’s awkward jump. It was steep bounce, hitting the gloves of Faf and caught by wicketkeeper Wriddhiman Saha at the Newlands on Monday.
