One of the most loved and successful teams in the IPL history is all set to make their comeback after the ban of two years and their retentions have already impressed cricket fans. CSK have two options left and as they have retained all three Indian capped players, they can use RTM for either two overseas players or two uncapped players or a combination of both. The budget left in the purse for CSK is Rs 47 crores.

As Chennai did not have any super impressive uncapped players in their squad, it will be no surprise if they go with two overseas players for the use of RTM card. New Zealand’s former captain and an explosive batsman Brendon McCullum must be leading the race for the RTM. Though he already said goodbye to the international cricket, his performance in the Big Bash League and all other T20 leagues gives him an edge.
