Chennai Super Kings (CSK) franchise is all set to retain their core group including skipper MS Dhoni, Suresh Raina and Ravindra Jadeja for the upcoming 11th edition of Indian Premier League (IPL).
Also, former Australian cricketer, Michael Hussey will be making a comeback in the IPL, this time as a coach as he has been appointed as the batting coach of CSK, as the reports in Mirror suggests.
The team owners of CSK were already looking to rope in their former players, and they have successfully offered a role to Hussey as well. He will join the coaching panel headed by New Zealand’s former skipper Stephen Fleming, who is most likely to take over as Head Coach.
Hussey played for CSK from 2008 to 2013 and for Mumbai Indians in 2014. He was regained by CSK in 2015. The Aussie star joins his former franchise with an experience of 59 IPL games in which he scored 1977 runs at an average of 38.76.
The report also added that former India player, Hrishikesh Kanitkar will too join CSK as an assistant coach. He was with the Rising Pune Supergiant franchise in the last season.
