Twitter lauds Bhuvneshwar Kumar for his heroics in Johannesburg

Bhuvneshwar Kumar’s lone wicket during South Africa’s first innings helped Team India to restrict the hosts to six for the loss of one wicket at stumps on Day 1 of the third Test at the Wanderers in Johannesburg. The hosts currently trail by 181 runs.

The pacer, who was dropped from the last match, removed Aiden Markram early in a shortened final session. Earlier, the visitors were bowled out for 187 in their first innings.

When no other batsmen besides Virat Kohli and Cheteshwar Pujara could cross the 20s, it was Bhuvneshwar Kumar who put up a fight against the lethal pace attack of the Proteas and scored 30 runs amid very tough conditions.

Twitter went berserk in appreciation for Bhuvi as he scored 30 runs and also took a wicket towards the end of the day’s play. If Bhuvi wouldn’t have played a knock of 30 then India might have been reduced to well short of 150.
