VIDEO: Mohammed Shami’s massive six off Morne Morkel leaves Indian dressing room in awe

Team India pacer Mohammed Shami made an absolute mockery of the formidable South African pace attack on a topsy-turvy Wanderers track as he fired a blazing 27 runs off 28 deliveries on Day 3 of the third Test against the Proteas side in Johannesburg.

Shami blasted a six off Morne Morkel and then off number Test bowler, Kagiso Rabada to push India’s lead past 230. But what was worth a smile was that Indian dressing room was left wonderstruck each time Shami went for a biggy.

Mohammed Shami SIX

It was in the 70th over of India’s second innings. Morkel was into the attack. A little back of the length delivery, angled down to the leg as Shami pulled it gracefully over square-leg for a massive six. Well, it was the first six of the match and it came off Shami’s bat. The entire Indian dressing room was in awe. Virat Kohli was seen smiling in amazement, while Hardik Pandya gave him a standing ovation.

Shami’s quickfire 27 alongside Bhuvneshwar Kumar’s gritty 33 runs helped India post a fighting target of 241 runs to South Africa.
