Yuvraj Singh expresses his delight after being picked by Kings XI Punjab owner Preity Zinta

After a long time, Yuvraj Singh returned to his old franchise, Kings XI Punjab, as the India veteran was snapped up by the Punjab outfit for his base price — Rs. 2 crore.

While Sunrisers Hyderabad decided not to use the Right to Match Card, the Bollywood actress Preity Zinta co-owned outfit decided to get Yuvraj back into the side. In the inaugural edition of the IPL in 2008, Yuvraj had captained the Kings and later travelled to other franchises.

Preity Zinta also took to Twitter to express her delight over the return of Yuvraj Singh.

The left-hander replied to the tweet by mentioning that Preity would get a good companion in his wife Hazel Keech.

“Happy to be back at @lionsdenkxip I guess this year it’s about self-belief and pride! See u punjabiyon also my favourite team owner @realpreityzinta got you a very chatty partner @hazelkeech,” Yuvraj took to the micro-blogging site to express his delight.

The left-hander’s IPL career one has been a rather illustrious one in the past. Yuvraj has scored 2,587 runs across ten editions at an average of 25.61 while playing 120 matches. He has also picked two hat-tricks in the tournament.
