Soundarya Sharma in awe of MS Dhoni’s scintillating knock in Centurion

3 sixes, 4 fours and unbeaten 52 off 28 balls. MS Dhoni turned the clock back even as India could not cross the finish line and South Africa levelled the three-match T20I series by winning the second game in Centurion on Wednesday.

The 2011 World Cup winning captain smacked boundaries all around the park. He built a partnership with Manish Pandey who also found his groove and smacked 3 sixes and 6 fours to score unbeaten 79 off 49 balls. Dhoni himself completed his 2nd T20I fifty in just 28 balls– the joint-fastest (with Shikhar Dhawan) by any Indian batsman against South Africa in T20Is.

India was in a spot of bother one time, having lost Rohit Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan, Virat Kohli and Suresh Raina at a score of 90. But then, Dhoni and Pandey put up an unbeaten 98-run stand in 56 balls to power India to 188.

Although Manish was the one who started to put pressure on the Proteas bowlers, Dhoni did not waste too much time to join the party. The former Indian cricket team skipper also played few big shots.

Like many others, the Bollywood actress Soundarya Sharma also took to Twitter and lauded her favourite cricketer.

“#Dhoni 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 Amaaazing !!!! 🏏… After a very long time decided to watch T20 and I’m glad I saw it! #INDvSA”, she tweeted.

Soundarya made her Bollywood debut with movie Ranchi Diaries along with actress Kangana Ranaut. She also visited Dhoni’s home in Ranchi during the film promotions last year and clicked pictures with the star cricketer.
