Australia’s big-hitting batsman, Chris Lynn found himself in middle of some intense bidding during the IPL 2018 players auction. In the end, he was, however, snapped up by his previous franchise–Kolkata Knight Riders–for a whopping amount of Rs 9.6 crores.
The swashbuckling Australian has the ability to change the course of a game by his immaculate and hard-hitting strokeplay. While being part of the KKR last year he had scored a total of 295 runs consisting of three fifties at a healthy average of 49.16.
But then, it needs to be seen how fit he remains before the IPL.
In the seventh edition of the Big Bash League (BBL), Lynn became the first player to smash 100 sixes in the tournament. The 27-year-old’s strike-rate of 158.17 is the best for any player who has played over 40 matches in the BBL.
While the KKR team owners are happy to have Chris Lynn back in their camp, Lynn is also very happy to be back at the KKR roster.
He recently took to Twitter to express his happiness and excitement about the same. He also praised the team management for putting up commendable effort in picking up the squad at the IPL auctions.
Here is what Chris Lynn tweeted:
“Well done to the coaching staff and support team at @KKRiders. Love the team they have put together and looking forward to being apart of the family again,” Lynn tweeted.
