Kings XI Punjab releases the list of players in contention to become next captain

Kings XI Punjab is one team in the Indian Premier League (IPL) that has got the tag of being consistently inconsistent. Apart from reaching the finals in 2014 and the semifinals in 2008, Punjab has had a premature exit in all other seasons of the tournament in the league stage itself.

Despite having good players and potential match winners, Preity Zinta co-owned franchise has not been able to do justice to their ability.

They remain to be the only team who changes their captain every year, and 2018 would be no exception for Punjab as they are looking for a new skipper this season as well.

After the mega-auctions held in Bengaluru, Kings XI Punjab once again have a decent squad on paper but they are yet to name a skipper for the side.

On their official website, the Punjab franchise has posted a collage of 6 players, asking the fans as to who they think should lead the squad in the 11th edition of IPL.

Here’s the list of players in contention to become KXIP’s next captain:

  • Comeback da King?: Yuvraj Singh
  • Patel-a Peg Lagaake: Axar Patel
  • Cricket ka Krrish: Chris Gayle
  • Naam se hi WIN-ner: Ravichandran Ashwin
  • Trophy karayega clinch?: Aaron Finch
  • Kya yeh karega rule?: KL Rahul

So now after picking these experienced players in their squad, KXIP franchise would definitely find it tough to chose a captain for their team this season.
