Mayank Dagar, the new recruit of Kings XI Punjab franchise, is looking for a place in playing eleven of the team who have two spinners, Axar Patel and Ravichandran Ashwin.
The young lad concedes that his height can work in his favour and might come in handy.
“Obviously, it (height) is an advantage because I get the bounce off the wicket, which is good for spinners,” he told Wisden India.

The 21-year-old left-arm spinner is also a fitness freak. In September 2017, he trended on social media for his stylish looks and super-fit body, earning comparisons with Bollywood actor Varun Dhawan. He also has more than 82,000 Instagram followers.
“Girls have told me that I look like Varun Dhawan”, he admitted.
One might also remember Mayank as the nephew of former Indian opener and Director of Cricket at KXIP, Virender Sehwag.

After remaining unsold in the first round of IPL mega-auctions, Sehwag bid successfully for his nephew and snapped him up for Rs 20 lakhs.
Dagar has represented India at the Under-19 World Cup in 2016 and also has been selected for the Under-23 team. In 13 T20 matches he has played, Dagar has taken 12 wickets at an economy rate of 7.34. His best figures are of 3/28.
In the first class cricket, Sehwag’s nephew has played 11 matches where he has taken 30 wickets at an impressive economy rate of 2.9.
