Rohit Sharma posts an emotional message for former Mumbai Indians team-mates

With many world class players going unsold and several others not being retained by their franchises, the IPL 2018 auction threw many surprises.

One of the shocking decision was by Mumbai Indians; they did not retain India veteran, Harbhajan Singh. MI owners were not too happy as they were not able to retain most of their champion side.

After the mega-auction, Nita Ambani, owner of MI expressed her disappointment on not being able to rope in off-spinner Harbhajan Singh.

The captain of Mumbai Indians, Rohit Sharma also took to Twitter to express his love for the old squad.

The Mumbai batsman posted a picture of the entire 2017 squad wishing them the very best for future endeavours with a heartfelt message.

He wrote, “Will miss this super fun and talented bunch, big thanks to all you guys for putting up a great effort and contributing towards the team’s success. I wish you the best going forward @mipaltan.”

MI is the most successful IPL side and has won the tournament thrice. It is definitely going to be a challenge for Rohit, who has been leading the Mumbai-based franchise since 2013 to build on the new squad as the champion side.
